The Mountain of God and the crown of thorns paint powerful pictures of our walk with Christ. The mountain represents God’s majesty, His presence, and the place where we rise above the noise of life to encounter Him. Think of Moses on Mount Sinai, or Jesus teaching on the Mount—high places where God’s truth was revealed. The crown of thorns, however, speaks of pain, suffering, and sacrifice. When woven together, their jagged shapes—peaks rising and falling—remind us of life’s journey. There are mountaintop highs and valley lows, yet in both places, God is present.
The mountain shows us that we are called upward to God’s glory. The crown of thorns shows us that Christ bore the suffering of the valleys for us. Together they remind us: our God is with us in triumph and in trial, in joy and in sorrow. The thorns could not stop the crown of glory, and the valleys cannot stop us from reaching the mountain of His presence. God is with us in every rise and fall. His presence is constant, and His victory is sure.
